Tassis Group’s ‘Massimo Restaurant & Bar undergoes renovations’ (reopening October 5)

Iconic Brisbane restaurant Massimo Restaurant & Bar is saying ‘arrivederci’ (for a moment), closing for renovations from Monday 30 September to reopen on Saturday 5 October with a stunning new look that evokes all things La Dolce Vita.

This revamp for the Tassis Group stalwart celebrates the glamorous essence of Italy. A bold, flirty palette of earthy olive green, Aperol-esque orange and an oceanic deep blue will envelop the venue everywhere from the furnishings to the menus.

This is the third refresh for the riverside destination, first opening in 2017 and then reopening with its current Amalfi-inspired look in 2022 after a post-flood glow up. Of this current update, Tassis Group owner Michael Tassis says “We felt it was time for Massimo to get a more modern update - it’s still very much that coastal Italian feeling, really casual and welcoming.”

The new look has been designed by long-term Tassis Group collaborators, Clui Design and Allo Creative.

Everything you love about Massimo is staying, including everyone’s favourite Bottomless Lunches, available every Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as public holidays (and the day prior). Luckily, renovations will be complete just in time for the King’s Birthday Long Weekend, what better excuse to come and check out the new look for yourself. Bookings are open now at https://www.massimorestaurant.com.au/bookings.
